Problem
In the emotionally demanding environment of the NICU, parents face overwhelming uncertainty, stress, and a profound sense of helplessness. Amidst their concern for their fragile newborns, they often neglect their own emotional well-being. Struggling to navigate this difficult period, parents find themselves at a loss, unsure of where to turn for guidance, recommendations, and support. The lack of accessible resources, relevant information, and coping strategies adds up to their distress, leaving them in need of help to deal with the challenges they are facing.
Goal
The goal of NeoCARE is to offer comprehensive support for NICU parents, covering emotional, informational, and practical needs. Providing access to medical experts, personalized health monitoring, recommendations and referrals, and a variety of resources, NeoCARE guides parents through the NICU journey. Through curated coping strategies, wellness practices, and education, it empowers parents and promotes emotional well-being, equipping families with the tools they need during this challenging time.

During the one-month sprint project, user prototypes were developed for key application flows.
The next step is to conduct usability testing with NICU parents to gather valuable insights and refine the flows based on their feedback. Following this, high-fidelity prototype will be finalized and another round of usability tests will be conducted. The ultimate goal is to launch the application in NICUs, aiming to streamline processes for healthcare professionals and provide valuable support and guidance for parents
